Comments: This kind of spam is also quite common where spam comments are placed on the blogs with the purpose of getting a link back to their own website or blog. Some common ones are for pornography portals and discount prescription drugs – Viagra. Others are simply spammy comments with content such as “Great blog post”.
Splogs: A splog is a spam blog that automatically fetches content and republishes it. Splogs are mainly used to generate money from advertising and affiliate websites.
Bookmarking spam: This kind of spamming is done with automatic syndication services that creates “fake” personas to promote a particular piece of content. These services automatically creates links to the social bookmarking sites such as Stumbleupon, Digg, and Delicious.
